My favourite bits of the Pitt-Rivers are the pickled foetus wearing earrings, the painted skulls with the twigs stabbed in their eyes, and the mummy with the skeletal toe poking out. I fear what this says about my tastes... Best place to visit in Oxford, though, hands down. Thank you so much for signing those books for me: dutifully delivered today. Teenage recipients say 'cool, yay' etc. Sisterly recipient says 'I already know it's brilliant, I just finished reading it!'
